Problems with registering a motorhome from Germany in Spain...another one!!

Hi, so I am in this situation where having bought a German motorhome, and having got it through the stages of 'homologacion', and the ITV, I am left standing at the door of 'Trafico' with a note from the gestor saying that the intracomunitaria number is not verified. In other words, the seller was not registered to sell to other Europeans countries. However, although his business packed up a month after I bought the van, the VAT number on the German factura (which is the intracomunitiar number) is valid. SO how the hell do you get out of this predicament? Has anyone else had this exact same issue or can you advice on a specialist gestor that deals effectively with these themes? The one that I have is basically not a Trafico gestor, its the one that the company that is dealing with the paper work has handed me. The irony here is that you pay for the whole process, and at the last stage you hit this kind of block. I'm pretty desperate to get is sorted, Thanks. I can send copies of any document or exchange with the gestor, if anyone is interested enough to help.
