Has anyone stayed at an aire in Oloron Sainte Marie?

It's listed on http://www.airecampingcar.com/aire_camping_car_gps.php/618?z=9

It appears on my Tomtom aires POIs.

But I can't fid it in the 'Guide Officiel 2006 Aires de Services Camping-Car'

Last year we travelled north from Spain on the D934 and overnighted in the 'Artouste-Fabreges' aire.

This year we though we'd save some time using the Somport tunnel on the N134.

Can't help but I notice that it's an aire exterieur. This often means that it's for service only so no parking.

Just looked on www.campingcar-infos.com and it's not on that one either so I wouldn't rely on it unless someone has been there.

This is an aire extérieur, and there is no parking. The campsite is:-

Camping Gîttes du Stade, Chemin de la Gravette

Tél: +33(0)5 59 39 11 26 et (0)6 08 35 09 06

URL: http://www.camping-du-stade.com/

There is an aire a bit further up the valley, at Larun, outside the old railway station, Avenue de la Gare, which is OK for a night, quiet, etc. You then go over the Col du Portalet into Spain. Much quieter than Somport and a good road both sides of the border.

Thanks Ralph and Brian.

The aire at Laruns is on the same road as we used last year (D934). We thought the Somport route would be a bit faster as the road appears to be straighter.

Perhaps we're best doing the same route again?
