Grumpyman
l have a Autotrail f68 based on a Ford transit automatic. Does anyone know if the battery is a sealed unit? As to check it Is a right pain in the proverbial as you have to undo parts of the drivers seat. grumpyman
Derek Uzzell
There are several on-line videos showing removal/replacement of the vehicle battery (or batteries) of recent Transits (example here) https://www.scegliauto.com/en/video/ford/tutorial/46885/ and all the videos suggest that the battery is 'non-maintainable'. What does your Ford Transit manual say about battery type/maintenance/replacement?
Den
All our 16 seater Ford transit minibuses are non maintenance 2 batteries are fitted and the one which tends to operate the electric step tends to for first. straightforward to change just loads of muscle to manipulate into place. my son in law does this. den
