Ninian
Hi, Does anyone have this Code reader / scanner and does it work on the Fiat Ducato models.
Derek Uzzell
Also asked yesterday (and replied to) on Fiat Forum. https://www.fiatforum.com/threads/v519-obd2-ii-diagnostic-scanner.504514/ It depends what you mean by "work" - the V519 is an inexpensive 'generic' tool and (as was advised on the Fiat forum) will not deal with error codes specific to Fiat vehicles. Deneb
It's a generic OBD2/EOBD reader, so it will read engine and drivetrain fault codes standardised between manufacturers, usually emissions related issues. For other modules on the Ducato, such as ABS, SRS, ETM etc. a Fiat all systems specific tool such as MultiEcuScan or AlfaOBD is necessary. John52
I use the free car scanner google app with a £20 streetwise wifi plug from Euro Car Parts Much better than the 2 cheap chinese code readers (which look identical to the streetwise code readers on ECP) that I got off ebay. If you need more detail, and you don't want to get your own MultiEcuScan or AlfaOBD and learn how to use them - another option is a local specialist diagnostics centre - lots of them springing up now. For £30 or so you can get a professional scan using equipment and software that costs £thousands
