Guido
Can an octogenarian get insured for a campervan? I’ve got a Renault Trafic, and I wanted to lend it to my father-in-law when he comes over from Australia on a visit. He is 80 but very sprightly, and his driving is fine. The van is a home conversion, so there are a limited number of insurers who will cover it anyway, and mine has a maximum age of 74. I’ve called several companies and the highest allowable age I’ve heard mentioned is 79. Does anyone know where seniors can get covered? Surely they don’t all give up travelling at 80!
