Trees at La Lude

Hi

 

Can anyone who has been to La Lude lately tell me what the name/species of tree growing in the Chateaux and the camp site are. They smell absolutely gorgeous and I would love one for my garden.

 

They look a bit like our Lime trees but with much smaller leaves and have small flowers/wings ( a bit like sycamore seeds).

 

Hope there is someone out there who knows.

Perhaps you mean "Le Lude" mid-way between Saumur and Le Mans?

 

If so, (although I can't tell you what the trees are), according to the CC's Touring Handbook the e-mail address of the campsite (does Camping Municipal au Bord du Loir sound familiar?) is camping-lelude@wanadoo.fr

 

Supposedly English is spoken, so, if you e-mail them about the trees, they may be able to tell you.

 

Alternatively, if you GOOGLE-search on "trees scented" and have a look at the pictures, as you know what the things look like, you'll very probably be able to identify them.
