Poppy
Just out of curiousity what sort of towing limit do you need to tow a small car i.e a smart on a trailer?
Ranger
Trailer must have an over-run braking system and do not exceed the "Train Weight" of your Motohome. Any thing else anyone???????
catinou
We will be towing our Smart car on a Bantam trailer behind our new Autotrail Dakota (when we get our hands on the wheel in 2 weeks and two days - not that we're counting!) Our Max authorised weight is 4,250 kg and Gross train weight is 5,500 kg. So the max towing weight would be 1,250 kg - My husband has told me at least 5 times "that's the limit so don't try loading the car too!" colin
I think that a smart fortwo on small car trailer will weigh in at about 1200kg. I think thats the answer you are after
Poppy
Thanks Collin. Don't think we want to tow at the moment but was curious in case we changed our minds.
