johnsandywhite
:-S You would need at least 10 of them to make any difference. IMH&HO. (lol)
robin
I thought this would be o.k. to keep the battery charged during storage, obviously no good when on site.
johnsandywhite
B-) Hi Robin. My own personal opinion? I think they are a gimmick more than being of any use. 15 watts may be useful to keep a battery topped up but NOT charged. 1.5? Waste of money. ;-)
J9withdogs
I bought one of these last year Robin, and unfortunately it didn't stop my battery going flat over the winter months. Also if it's plugged into the cigarette lighter, you have to make sure this is still 'live' when the ignition is switched off.

JohnP
The output from this unit would be so low during the winter when you most need it that I think it would be a waste of money. Many cigarette lighters only work when the engine is running and may need modifacation to the vehicle wiring.
