pepe63
Good morning our all. Our recently purchased "new to us" motorhome (2006 Fiat based Hobby) only came with the one (non remote) ignition key and the one remote alarm/immobiliser key fob. The previous owner had owned it for 13-14 years and they said that they had only ever had the one. (and I have no reason to disbelieve them) but it is obviously far from ideal. So...what is involved with getting a second alarm fob? (it seems that I can get a second key easy enough?) According to the "Brownhills" booklet/handbook that was passed to us, it's a Sigma S-series system (either S30 or S34 ?), presumably installed at/near first purchase. Surely I wouldn't have to sort it through them? (hopefully not, as they're miles away?) or would any decent alarm specialist be able to help? Thanks in advance. onecal
Hi You may just have to, but why not contact as you say a decent alarm specialist first and get their opinion . It may just be possible for them to make you a copy ,or indeed a good Tech with the appropriate gear to do so Regards
pepe63
Hi Thanks for replying.. Looking again (and paying more attention this time!) the little handbook does lay out how to "programme" and "teach" new Radio keys, so it appears to be doable?...and whilst at one time such things wouldn't have phased me, the potential for the "now me" to totally b*lls something up, makes we want to leave to somebody who knows what they are doing! 😄 So I'll look around for some local alarm "specialists" and see what they say. Thanks again Edited June 24 by pepe63
onecal
Hi Yes it should not be so difficult , hope all goes well for you Regards
Robinhood
Search Google for "replacement sigma fob". The following is just an example: https://www.automateuk.com/product/sigma-s30-s34-key-fob/ You may need the original code to program it, though. onecal
Hi It really depends if it's an M30 of an SG 30 if a CP1 programmer is needed . Any good Tech with the correct equipment should be able to help. As the OP suggests maybe one fob can be programmed for the other fob easily on his system? Regards
Suggy
There easy to code to your alarm as long as you have the 4 digit pin code. I have to program my new to key fob and its straight forward to do

Our 2006 PVC came with two Fiat chipped ignition keys, and an aftermarket alarm with two fobs, and which is linked to the central locking. One set was missing after we were burgled. I was able to obtain a replacement alarm fob via Ebay for a few £s. The ignition key is more of a problem, as I understand the two differently coded keys are normally supplied. You can have a clone of a single key made at some branches of Timpsons, but I would like to get back to the original situation. (I do not have any security concerns, as registration number is not known to the thieves.) Alan
