Worried_john
Hi, looking at buying this van from a private seller for around £25k. First fix in place but still some work to be done internally. Practically the whole world is now telling me not to touch it because it’s an Iveco and web research does seem to suggest they are problematic! So I’d love some feedback about whether they are really that bad? Pros/cons etc. This one was apparently a local laundry service van, no failed MOTS but advisories on brake discs on last two. Thank you to anyone sharing their thoughts!
Derek Uzzell
Welcome to the Out&AboutLive forums. I can think of only one current O&AL forum member that has a motorhome based on a (fairly recent) Iveco Daily, so I'm not sure how much ownership feedback you'll get from here. A cursory GOOGLE-search on iveco daily owners indicates that there are several clubs/forums/Facebook groups relating to this make/model and, if the Daily has gained a genuine reputation for problems (which would surprise me) I'd expect those problems to be well publicised there.
MikeF
3 hours ago, Worried_john said: buying this van from a private seller for around £25k Most vans of this type are rated over 3500 with taco and speed limiter. If below 3500 payload is limited. So consider driving limitations, licence and weight limit restrictions, and future resale. All SH vans have problems and IVECO is no wose than others. Tha auto box can cause issues and best avoided. The chassis is used for high end motorhomes and the engine common to Fiat Ducato vans. If conversion is part complete, the quality of work may not be of a safe standard, where gas, electric systems, and additional travel seating, are installed.
