Labby
Good to hear the source of the problem has been found , are you having the Reich system repaired or going to fit a separate mains charging system ?
Derek Uzzell
I wasn't familiar with the verb "TROMING" so I looked it up on-line. The Urban Dictionary https://www.urbandictionary.com had a definition, but I'm very doubtful it's relevant to motorhomes. 😉
Gordon Jones
Hi Rawhide - I just found the previous thread - and was very interested in your story...(& sorry to hijack your thread !) We have a similar Burstner (Elegance 686 - same year) - which has had electrical issues since we bought it last year - in fact - I sorned it earlier this year when tax & insurance was due - as we are making no progress in fixing the issues it has - & didn't want to waste more money on a vehicle we cannot use. We sent the Reich Ebox & control to the usually recommended company - it wasn't fully fixed in my opinion - but we paid up (almost enough to buy a new fridge) & I eventually found the correct connector blocks to make up new block connectors & replace the very poor original cables (very thin cables / damaged insulation) OK - so the point of this post - the RM7655L is refusing to run on gas - so the question is - do I start on a plan of replacing each possible faulty part until it works - or would I be better off to stop throwing good money at a 20 year old fridge & buy a new one...? My decision of course - but just wondering if you are happy with the thetford - (now it's fixed) Cheers - Gordon. PS - I'm pretty sure the dometic fridge caused the Ebox failure too... AndrewKaren
Yes looks exactly like the problem I has I cannot get my head around the need to miniaturise the fuse board and stick to the side or a charger that is to small for a double battery set up why would you want to save room on a van that is in excess of 7 m what were the Germans thinking about At least Applejack earn a living out of refurbishing the riche e box madness
