flyboyprowler
We recently upgraded our van with extra solar and since then the batteries have been fully charged. The voltage has been set at 14.3v but after initially working correctly, the USB supply appears to be no longer charging the phone and tablet as before. So, before I delve deeper, does anyone know if a high battery voltage will affect the USB charging system? The sat nav continues to work from the 12v cigarette supply. Thanks in advance Ainsley
Keithl
Try waiting until later in the day when the solar stops charging and turn on some load to drop the voltage and see if it recovers. You may have to switch it off and back on to reset it.
flyboyprowler
Thank you Keith, I was going to try that, so will put on the A/C tomorrow which should do the job of reducing the charge.
