Tel999
Hi. There is a Le Voyageur for sale on Autotrader. It looks like the layout we would like. Does anyone have any information on these vehicles. Any help, very welcome Thanks
Derek Uzzell
Welcome to the Out&AboutLive forums. I assume this is the AutoTrader entry you have referred to (advertised by motorhome-broker Motorhome Depot). https://www.autotrader.co.uk/motorhome-details/202407181901004?advertising-location=at_motorhomes (For a 2010 motorhome the stated mileage of 20,099 is very low. If I were interested in this vehicle I'd insist on knowing its UK registration number so that I could check its MOT history. I'd also want to confirm whether or not its automatic transmission is "Sprintshift". ) Background to the Le Voyageur brand is given here and may be helpful. https://www.outandaboutlive.co.uk/motorhomes/articles/general/who-is--le-voyageur#:~:text=It then continued to trade, the brand into Groupe Pilote. Den
Hi weve had 3 of the LeVoyageurs 2 x LV8 1 x LV9 all of them had the 3 ltr with auto gear box. im 99.9% sure they did not use the sprint shift with this body shape, only the older MH with the sloping basic front. our first one did have a few minor problems due mainly to the new design, but they were sorted in France by LeVoyageur whom paid all our costs. this one would have been imported by Hays leisure now closed. they are fantasticly comfortable and extremely robust being very hand built. unlike most motorhomes LV used an alloy frame so very strong and built the body first and all furniture and all internal fittings went in through the door. den
flyboyprowler
Like Derek, we also had a Le V for 4 years and loved it. Worth noting as Derek says, the factory near Angers were really accommodating even though we bought second hand. We would have bought again but the design went too clinical for our taste, but the quality remained high. I think that the dealer is now in Southampton, but can’t remember the name! Den
Originally with this design only Hayes leisure Imported them, but with the new type LV’s built like all other A class & coach built the furniture is built first and the sides and roof are fitted to the furniture. as Ainsley says they were extremely well built and the factory at lemrmbrol is superb the French people say they are sexy with the rounded shape. with this design you could travel to the factory and personally fine tune the design with them. we did this 3 times , brilliant experience from a very fine company
