handyman
I'm thinking it would be a good idea to leave the van in austria (or switzerland), near an airport, then just fly in during the summer. This then saves the 2 day drive to get there. Anyone ever done this? Any recommendations on storage locations and companys?
flicka
Hi Handyman Make sure you get the OK from your Insurers A freind had his Caravan stored in France with Insurance cover provided by the Storage Company. He then wanted to take an extended tour France, Italy, Spain ^ Portugal, but his previous Insurer was not interested& would not offer cover. however if he returned his caravan to the UK to even for a ferry turnaround they would renew his cover. Weird but true. At least it saved him a 250 mile tow to the Channel ports. Sorry I don't know which Insurer.
handyman
c&cc allow 180 days, so that would cover the summer. would probably (and might have to) get the van back for the winter, so this might work to avoid the problems with insurance.
