Avantgarde front marker light not working

Compass has been producing coachbuilt motorhomes carrying the "Avantgarde" name from 1994-onwards.

The majority of those models have not had front high-marker lights, instead having combined white/red high-marker lights on the vehicle's sides near the rear.

However, around 2008/2009 Compass fitted to some Avantgarde models small white high-level lights embedded into the front of the motorhome's over-cab section. This 2022 forum thread refers

and this image shows the light.

As the other front high-level light was illuminating, the 2022 discussion made the logical assumption that the non-illuminating light-unit itself was to blame, and that a fuse or relay fault was not the culprit.

It was suggested that the light-unit was a JOKON PL2000

This has a conventional W5W bulb, but the light's front cover would need to be removed to replace the bulb, or to remove the complete light. As I warned in 2022, attempting to remove the light or its front cover can be expected to result in the light suffering damage.
