2 questions:

What fan did you eventually use? You say it was bigger but don't mention what it is.

Why didn't you make something to connect the fan to the cassette rather than sucking at the whole compartment? I would have expected this to be less efficient?

Hi Ralph,

The fan was one I had a couple of. 12 volt brushless DC fans from Papst.

Many computer fans are the same. For me it was "junk box" components.

When the casette compartment door is closed it seals quite well. I tried venting just the casette but the pipework was a right bodge, especially as it needed to move when the door was opened and in the end was totally unesessary. I took the pipework off and it worked just as well.
