Keithl
Hi @Bob101 Are you able to measure the voltage of the habitation battery directly at its terminals? If not does your MH display show the battery voltage? Keith.
Bob101
Hi Keith I can borrow a multi meter, will that do it? And there is no volt meter.
Bob101
Just measured the voltage, it is 12.39.
Derek Uzzell
This link is to a 2011 .pdf file containing the Owner's Manual of a Font-Vendome "Le Bel Horizon" model. https://docs.campingcar-infos.com/docs/Font-Vendome (vans)/FontVendome 2011 BelHorizon ManuelUtilisation.pdf The section covering the electrical installation shows a Nordelettronica NE160 control-panel and (like many control panels) has the capability to test the state of charge (voltage) of the starter and habitation batteries. According to Apuljack Electronics, this panel is usually paired with a NE129 fuse-board/distribution unit. https://www.apuljackelectronics.co.uk/Nord-NE129-Fuseboard--NE160-Control-Panel__p-414.aspx
Bob101
Thanks Derek, it looks like the one installed. l will take a look and see if l can understand diagram and the information. Hopefully l can make sense of it and find a solution.
Derek Uzzell
I notice that the Manual advises about the control panel On/Off button. Allows you to turn the control panel On and Off (Note: the system may go into safety mode. Hold the button down for 5 seconds to reset it) I'm doubtful that following the resetting procedure would miraculously fix your problem (which seems very peculiar) but it would be worth trying. Bob101
No Joy, I have tried all the fuses and the battery there is no power to to control panel, therefore, I cannot try the reset. So It is off to the garage to have my wallet emptied, as soon as i can get an appointment. 😏
onecal
Hi Hold on! Have you power to the control panel when you switch on your ignition ? Regards
Labby
The wiring layout shown in the handbook shows separate 25 amp fuses near both the leisure and starter battery positive supply sides , are they ok ? Bob101
Hello Onecal, l do indeed or l did l haven't checked again. Bob101
Good evening Labby l have checked the fuses l can see. However, in the diagram there is a 25 amp fuse between the leisure battery and control panel l have been unable to identify for sure where it that is. Maybe l have checked it but l cannot be sure. Labby
Have you checked near the leisure battery positive terminal , it may be in that area .
Bob101
I will check it out tomorrow, lt is a tad dark now, in the afternoon l am free and for them again. I will remove the battery completely and search for it. Thanks for the advice. 2 hours ago, Labby said: The wiring layout shown in the handbook shows separate 25 amp fuses near both the leisure and starter battery positive supply sides , are they ok ? 52 minutes ago, Labby said: Have you checked near the leisure battery positive terminal , it may be in that area . I found a fuse blown in a fuse carrier just next to the battery It took me to get another fuse of the right type and amperage. The existing one was 15 amp, it should have been 25 amp apparently according to the wiring diagram, (link supplied by Derek Uzzell) so I hope this is the end of my problem thanks for your help and everyone else who pointed me in the right direction.
onecal
Hi It may be prudent to keep an eye on this circuit as it still may have issues I am suprised anyone would replace a 25 A with a 15A but there you go. it's not so bad going lower ( it will blow on overload) but never higher than whats recommended for the circuit involved Hope all works for you now Regards

onecal
Hi I agree , but never higher Amp fuse above what is recommended for the circuit it is protecting Again I am puzzled as to why anyone would put in a 15A fuse in a 25A fuse circuit? Why not use the correct one ? I come on the more dangerious practice of people putting in higher amp fuse than what is recommended for a specific circuit quite often to try and solve a problem instead of fixing it and replacing it with the correct rated fuse for that circuit to operate correctly and safetly Regards
