icdsun
Hi Here is a copy of the parts list that would appear to be the intended fix for the water on injectors issue, it looks like an engine cover is to be fitted, what a innovative idea ;-) It is in German but the part numbers are listed ChrisFiat 504267418.pdf

bigal55
sorry thank you but i will say again this won,t solve the problem, it,s the same as wearing a sou'wester in your house to cure a hole in the roof, the scuttle is the problem, only one drain hole, not water tight in the middle and fits where it touches on the windscreen,it needs to be of thicker gauge material
bigal55
this is a copy of a e-mail i sent to fiat today ..............i have an ace milano motor home based on a fiat ducato 100 mutijet chassis no 01164871, purchased new on 03.09.07.water is pouring into the engine bay from the scuttle, 1 the join in the center of the scuttle is not water tight 2; the road where the vehicle is parked has a slight camber, as per most British roads water overflows the scuttle long before the water level has reached the only drain hole on the drivers side, the water then flows over the fuse box. 3; the scuttle only seals against the windscreen for 50% of its length, again water pours into the engine bay. i have contacted fiat m-home specialists essenjay of poole and they advise that there is no fix at the moment, corrosion has already started on the engine and its components and can only get worse yours a brown
webbocj
having got a new Fiat i noticed this subject cropped up in August/page9 my engine is covered with plastic sheet when not in use. When i passed the information onto the dealer, he said they could not touch it and I would have to sort it out(take it to aFiat dealer)Had a good look at several at the York show- water and rust all over and not even sold! It also collects inthe air intake duct and when you lift the bonnet the engine gets a shower.
Guest 1happy
Hi All. Have been reading your thread regarding water ingress to the engine bay on the new Fiats and Peugeots. It is discussed on several forums and as an affected owner who gets little or no response from Fiat I have started a online petition to Present at the NEC if they and Peugeot don't formally address this problem. It seems to me the possible implications from this "water" are a little more complicated than would 1st appear and therefore believe the companies involved must acknowledge the problem and state what they intend to do about it! Please consider signing the petition here>> http://www.petition.co.uk/water_ingress_to_engine_re_fiat__peugeot There is a description of the petitions aims and a statement to which people sign. Many thanks 1happy :-D

zulurita
Thanks Chris for the download. I was told by my motorhome dealer, that also has a Fiat franchise for servicing etc, that 18 part numbers are involved relating to this issue. Unfortunately I do not know the 18 part numbers.
