Hi all

Can anyone help?  I own a Benimar Tessoro 494 and the electric bed is not working. It is also In the down position. I have tried all fuses, RCD hooked up to mains. I have also YouTube and googled with minimal results. I understand there should be a manual wind up but unable to find it?. Does anyone know where to find it.

Many thanks

Paul.

Is there a manual winder tool in you motorhome tool bag

This was the set up, You then removed a black circular disc and insert the tool (if available) and wind up or down your bed manually

Benimar has been marketing the Tessoro 494 model from 2015-onwards, but I THINK the drop-down bed has always been operated in the same manner.

These two (New Zealand) videos describe how to operate the drop-down bed fitted to Benimar motorhomes electrically

and manually

Manual operation follows the advice provided by onecal.

Hi

On removing the desk top cable tidy (black circular disc) if the tool is not available in your tool box or you are unable to find it

You may be able to use a 19mm socket (or an appropriate fitting socket, if changed) and extension bar and T-Bar (as original tool, in the video Derek provided ) or small battery operated drive tool,  through the aperture to wind it up and down  Please find attached idea

Hope this helps

This (New Zealand) link has a list of Benimar-related guides that may be generally useful

https://knowledge.traillite.co.nz/en/knowledge/benimar-information-and-guides

including  "What to do if your drop-down bed stops working?"

https://knowledge.traillite.co.nz/en/knowledge/what-do-i-do-if-my-drop-down-bed-stops-working

This MotorHomeFun forum thread discussed issues with electric beds

https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/threads/issues-with-electric-beds.282036/#post-5576935

and (apparently) the drop-down bed fitted to Benimar motorhomes is a (Lippert) Project 2000 product.

It's suggested elsewhere that - if the bed cannot be raised electrically - manually winding the bed back to its fully-raised position MAY reset its system and restore electrical operation.

There are several UK Benimar Facebook groups (and a Benimar Owners Club) that it might be worth you contacting.
