Allington
Hi, I am new to the forum! But can any one help me, regarding the above. I have bought the pockets discribed by Ralph Pettitt in the last issue of MMM, the 2 small pockets have been fitted with no problem, however the Fiat dealer from whom I purchased stated I have to remove the passenger window winder, then remove the side door panel to get inside to fit some small bolt holders! The article does NOT say any thing about this, just that you "copy the position of the one on the drivers side before drilling". Hope some one can help. tonyishuk
I went the other way, took out the pockets and put in speaker panels so that I could put some better speakers in. (Although I still think the sound will be defeated by the tyre and wind noise ) The units were held on with torx screws and I just undid them, replaced the pockets and screwed up. I would have thought the same applied with the speaker pods. rgds
paul2
I'm with the fiat dealer on this when you have removed door trim panel you fit screw holders they just clip into the door then mark drill and refit trim panel then you screw pocket on with self tapping screws in to the holders Paul
Allington
Hi, Thanks for the info, I am a bit worried about any damage to the winder, and door panel! How did you manage to remove these?
