Has anyone had the engine shut down to tick-over with the "auto diagnostic" warning light come on.

It happened to me on the way home from York show, after driving through torrential rain

After stopping, switching the engine off, and then re-staring, we travelled the last 50 miles home, with no further problems. The rain had stopped.

Is there a sensor which may have activated due to being wet?

The handbook states that the light referred to an emissions fault, and would possibly cause damage to the catalytic converter (only fitted to Petrol engines)
