lizken Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 Has anyone had the engine shut down to tick-over with the "auto diagnostic" warning light come on. It happened to me on the way home from York show, after driving through torrential rain After stopping, switching the engine off, and then re-staring, we travelled the last 50 miles home, with no further problems. The rain had stopped. Is there a sensor which may have activated due to being wet? The handbook states that the light referred to an emissions fault, and would possibly cause damage to the catalytic converter (only fitted to Petrol engines) Ken
w1ntersun Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 Hi, The diagnostic readout will tell you what has happened. The computer stores all the faults in its memory. Get you local garage to do a readout. Richard
