Kate1881
I would like to know if anyone has come across the same problem with their Swift Motorhome as we have. We purchased our New motorhome in July 2006, and Unfortunately due to a family bereavement we didn't get to use it until March this year, and then only once a month for a weekend. We have an end bathroom and to our horror the wash basin has broken from the waste outlet. I took it back to the dealership as soon as we got back home, and was told this was due to fair wear and tear, which I find extremely hard to believe! If we had used the washbasin everyday for the last 14months then i would consider the term fair wear and tear. Any information would be greatly recieved, I have written to the Swift Group but have not recieved a reply as yet. Kate1881
davenewellhome
I'd suggest you contact your local trading standards office as they can advise on the legal position. Certainly the few times you say you've used it shouldn't constitute fair wear and tear and I suspect the dealer is applying this term to your length of ownership rather than your actual usage. However, even if that were the case, normal usage of a motorhome over fourteen months shouldn't constitute fair wear and tear on an item like this. D.
