Exustrek
Hiya Pez Sorry can't help with this specific type of awning but check out the 'Driveaway Awning' thread for some tips on fixing a tunnel to a van, there may be some similarities. w1ntersun
Hi, What you need to do is have a J rail fitted ( as per a caravan ) to the top of the van at the same height as the rear of the awning. You then need some figure of 8 section ( from caravan shop ). figure of 8 section is open at both ends so the 8 is not a closed 8 ( if you see what I mean ) This slides onto your tunnel section and clips onto the J section on the van. donna and daz
We use a free standing annexe and we have never had a j rail fitted as they can be unsightly, we have different ways of attaching. 1. Suction clips (cost about £30 for set of three) from just kampers suck on to the side of your van and your tunnel can attach to these. 2. We have a dorema highlander and these do an extension kit which uses figure of 8 tubing which attaches to the tunnel and then over the top of the van and ties on top or guys at the side. 3. If you have a gutter rail on the van the figure of eights sometimes attach on to here. Hope this helps. Donna
