Sorry to all who have seen this before

Of course I love ya darlin

You're a bloody top-notch bird

And when I say you're gorgeous

I mean every single word

So ya bum is on the big side

I don't mind a bit of flab

It means that when I'm ready

There's somethin there to grab

So your belly isn't flat no more

I tell ya, I don't care

So long as when I cuddle ya

I can get my arms round there

No sheila who is your age

Has nice round perky breasts

They just gave in to gravity

But I know ya did ya best

I'm tellin' ya the truth now

I never tell ya lies

I think its very sexy

That you've got dimples on ya thighs

I swear on me nanna's grave now

The moment that we met

I thought you was as good as

I was ever gonna get

No matter what u look like

I'll always love ya dear

Now shut up while the footy's on

And fetch another beer.

If you want to believe as I.

when you are gone'

the body may die

but the soul travels on.

it then goes back from whence it came.

to be recycled, in another name.

and if when your out,

a stranger you see,

give him a smile,

it might be me.

She reminds me of someone I know Icelander - just can't quite remember who it is?

I think it's about time we had some culture on this forum (lol)[/quote

I think my poem adds a bit of culture. If not culture something to talk about

Don't stand beside my grave and weep,

I am not there I do not sleep,

I am a thousand winds that blow,

I am the diamond glints on snow,

I am the sun on ripened grain,

I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awake in morning hush,

I am the swift uplifting rush,

of quiet birds in circled flight,

I am the stars that shine at night,

Don't stand beside my grave and cry,

I am not there - I did not die.

I did not write this beautiful poem, but I found a copy of it where my late wife knew that I would have to look when she died.

It still makes me cry, such is the power and beauty of these words.

I also found this one, not my own handiwork, but again left where it was meant to be found and the words helped give me the will to rebuild my life.

Now I must leave you for a while,

please go on bravely with a smile.

And for my sake and in my name,

live on and do all things the same.

Spend not your life in empty days,

but fill each hour in useful ways.

Reach out your hand for comfort dear,

And I in turn will hold you near.

I think it was really good Mick, and is something that I believe in too.

Thank you. Got the poems moving again.

It's a lovely way to remember someone special.

Thank you Janine.

My Molly was special - VERY special - but then she would need to be to put up with me for 37 years wouldn't she!

What I Love About You

I love the way you look at me,

Your eyes so bright and blue.

I love the way you kiss me,

Your lips so soft and smooth.

I love the way you make me so happy,

And the ways you show you care.

I love the way you say, "I Love You,"

And the way you're always there.

I love the way you touch me,

Always sending chills down my spine.

I love that you are with me,

And glad that you are mine.

A tale of CB radio love - Midnight and Little Hammer

I first spoke to my soul mate by way of a CB radio. We met one week later at Old Sarum Castle on Salisbury Plain. It was at night and quite dark. Which was lucky for me as at 31 years of age, I was 13 years older. My future love was sitting in an Austin mini with a friend of a friend of a friend. A month later we saw each other in the light for the first time. Somehow, my romantic CB friend did not turn and run. Within six months, when dressed in shining armour (rented from a stage costume company) a proposal of marriage was made on the ramparts of Old Sarum Castle. We married 5 years later.

Any more tales about how you met the love of your life? I am feeling romantic tonight

Go on then.. once upon a time, on a cold rainy November day five years ago, a young woman called Sparkle happened upon a post online from a bloke called BGD....it touched her heart, so, not looking for anything from him, she emailed him.

They happened to be online at the same time, and emails were quickly exchanged, as the sparks of interest flowed between them. It was evident that it was indeed a meeting of soulmates.... and within a few days they were speaking on the phone, and two weeks later they met in person - he drove down to meet her in Bournemouth.

Love quickly flourished, and they spent every weekend together. He took her to Tenerife for christmas, and then they planned their future together, escaping the cold country for the warmed climes of Spain, where they live today, having married in April this year.

And they are living happily ever after.................

Indeedee!

Not just to Teneriffe.......countries already visited thus far with the Sparkle over the past 5 years are, if my aged memory serves:

Teneriffe.2002.

USA (Daytona Bike Week, in 2003, the 100th Anniversary of Harley-Davidson).

France (briefly)2003.

Moved to Spain, 2003.

Gibraltar. 2003 and 2005.

Portugal. 2004 and 2005 I think.

Germany (very briefly!) 2006, twice.

Poland (concert tour). 2006.

Thailand (Honeymoon). 2007.

And that ignores the many many tour trips on motorbike, and more lately in "Martin" the old-dog Motorhome all around Spain.

We do get about a bit.

I think I'm basically the Sparkle's Tour Operator......

;-)

As the sole operator of tours of Sparkle then Bruce, I hope that the tours that you organise are still set to exclusively educate inform and entertain you both!

I do hope that Icelander's continual quest for more info does not mean that she/he is an identity fraudster seeking another potential victim!
