Kate1881
We have decided to spend xmas away in our motorhome this year, alas alot of sites are fully booked but we have managed to get a pitch on the new cc Oswestry site. Is anyone off the Forum going to be there and does anyone know any interesting places to visit? :-D
cronkle
We live not far from the site and in fact it is within easy reach of shrewsbury with its castle, abbey river, museums and shopping centre. There are three Park and Ride areas with the one to the north at Harlescotte being without a height barrier last time I looked. Try this site http://www.virtual-shropshire.co.uk/ Have a good stay Mike M

We spent the time at Telford -at the Victorian town -not sure it will be open at New Year tho so not much help am I! The Victorian town is Blists Hill, and is open 10 - 4pm from November to March. Probably not open Christmas Day, but it doesn't say on the website. I used to work there, and can highly recommend it. http://www.ironbridge.org.uk/our_attractions/blists_hill_victorian_town/visiting_information/

Vernon B
And of course there's Chirk and Ellesmere within easy reach and Chester not that far away. All in all Oswestry's a pretty good base. Vernon
