ajpitfc
I need to park at Stansted Airport. I have seen motor homes there before, but when I called I was told I would be charged short term rates. Has anyone parked here before and if so how did you get the cost down. I only need to park for two nights.
Clive
Leave the van at home or at a local safe depot and take a Taxi would be my suggestion. C.
Pat P
Haven't parked at Stansted but have parked at Gatwick. There is a campsite at the end of the runway! We spent one night there and then put the van in storage for a week and then another night when we flew back in. Worked for us! The planes didn't really disturb us it became quite rhythmic. They stop at night anyway. I think that the site is in the CC book. Pat
michele
Stansteads a bit of a No No really the car park and the short stay dont really seem to be designed for the bigger vehicle.
yeti
The Gatwick site is Called Amberley Fields and is a Caravan Club site. I used it for a trip to Canada. 4 weeks storage was loads cheaper than long term parking and we could work to our own schedule.

You could always park on Michelle's drive >:-) >:-) But a serious suggestion: how about a CL /CS in the area?
