Jackal
Just booked up for a few days over the New Year. Anybody used the place before? Anybody know anything about Hogmanay in Inverness? Wanted to get into Grantown on Spey but it was fully booked.
Mel E
It's a few years since we were there but it was a very nice site. The Battle of Culloden (Drumossie Moor) was where one set of Scots plastered another set of Scots - unfortunately one set of Scots was working for the English, so we have been blamed for the whole sorry mess. As to Hogmanay, do what we do everywhere we go - call in at the local Tourist Info Shop and they'll have all the details you want to plan a great few days. Do also visit the amazing St George's Fort and, if you're lucky, watch the dolphins in the Moray Firth from there. The whole of that northern coat from Inverness across to peterhead is absolutely amazing - do as much as you can. Mel E ====
