Geoff Cole Posted November 22, 2007 Share Posted November 22, 2007 My Fiat x250 100 multijet motor home purchased February 2007 has the blanking grommets that cover the 20mm holes either end of the windscreen scuttle missing. This allows water to flow over the ABS unit and the various electrical componets and wiring behind the headlamps. If you are a Fiat based camper owner its worth checking if yours are missing. I have fitted blanking grommets and also waxoiled around the injectors and electrical connectors to in order to keep the water off and keep corrosion at bay ( The salty air in the Isle of Man does wonders on wet metal and electrics) until I have time to seal things properly as colin suggests.
