Don Madge
The ban on personal exports from GB is no longer in force. However, travellers should be aware that there is no guarantee that products will not be confiscated by foreign Customs abroad. See http://www.defra.gov.uk/animalh/diseases/fmd/food-meat/index.htm#6 for full details. Safe travelling Don
snobbyafghan
When we travelled to France in September, the only people showing any interest in this were UK officials. After we dumped various things from the fridge in the bin on the ferry, we were mighty peeved when there was not the slightest indication of any interest at all on the French side. We were not checked by either the British or the French customs and could have had anything on board.
