Champstar
Hi is anyone worried about the Lunar buy out and what this will mean for us Champ onwers whos van were built and imported from Belgium? The article on the MMM site mentions the British built Lunars with regard to warranties and parts but still says decision will be made later regarding the other models that are imported? I am slightly worried as my Champ is still under warranty...what if this is withdrawn? Cheers G
Administrator
Lunar is due to make further statements about the future of its imported brands in the near future. In the meantime, here's a link to the latest news: http://www.outandaboutlive.co.uk/channel/newsitem.asp?c=1&cate=__750 M
Brian Kirby
Don't forget the first in line of fire if your van shows defects is the dealer from whom you bought it, and not the manufacturer. You do have legal rights of redress against the seller, whereas the manufacturer's warranty is no more than an extra contractual offer that cannot be enforced, because you have no contract with the manufacturer. Not complete reassurance, I now, but maybe better than nothing?
Champstar
Thanks Brian for your reply...that is what I thought. I only wondered about the availability of parts and eventually the resale value of the M/home when we decide to part with it to get a new one.
