terry1956
Hi all, does anyone use the yellow house free view sky card when away, I have a free view sky box and a 65cm dish but can,t get any channels much after lower end of france, will a yellow house allow me to pick up some english channels, when in italy etc. just want updates on the news weather etc, not interested in paying for sky. Thanks. terry
Philman
Hi, an 80cm dish will pick up most unencrypted channels well down into Spain or as far south as Sicily. You will lose BBC and ITV south of Barcelona but most other channels will be available. Phil.
colin
The yellow house card is mainly used for picking up C4/Five, at present it may be technicaly possible to pick these up a little further afield(anyone found this ?), but asiut after they go to FreeSat they will be on same footprint as BBC/ITV
johnsandywhite
B-) Lot's of channels can still be received on an 85cm dish. The ones that you will lose are all BBC and ITV channels except with a 2m or larger dish. ;-)
terry1956
Thanks for the replys, But I have a 65cm not an 85cm dish, I had the idea that the sky footprint was larger then the normal free view print. Can anyone tell me what sky channels they can pick up with a 65cm dish, thanks. terry
derek500
The only real benefit of the FTV card is Channel 4 and 5. you can get loads of 'Sky Package' channels all over europe with a 65cm dish e.g the UKTV channels, Discovery, Living etc. but you need to subscribe to at least the 'Family Package'
