hi, has any one any experience of using a tv converter package (win tv etc)with a laptop via a status aerial.i don't want to waste money.any advice would be appreciated. thanks. barrie.

Hi barrie our son has some tv device built in & gets perfect vision on a desk top We have lap top but get tv via the internet but prefer to watch the local tv when away. this helps us to learn the language

Hi Barrie, I have a laptop which I use for TV, Have a look in PC World or any PC supplies shop and look at Win TV It takes a few minutes to load up, get a cheap TV airial or possibly your Status will work ok. I get very good recption. David

I know of WINTV software and Haupage TV cards. (I have a set in this desktop) But can you get a TV card that will fit in the small sockets in a laptop? And if so can it include a digital encoder for Freeview? Ta

Don't bother trying to fit a card into your lap top but buy an external box. Have a look at Computer Buyer web site, they have good reviews of hardware.
