dwaviation
And having just looked at the Beenybox system I might just go down that road as well... :-D
debutante
I've realised that I've never reported on what we eventually did. We went for the Beenybox option, and booked a one week holiday in summer 2009. The BeenBox company couldn't have been more helpful. After making the booking, they were in touch with us on more than one occasion to confirm we were happy with arrangements. They're situated right by Camborne station, which meant that having dropped the van off by 8:30, we were able to take a train and have a good day out. The work was completed on time, and we have been delighted with it ever since. They're very mindful of the needs of van owners, and the first thing they did on our arrival was to provide a mains hook-up so that the fridge would be on throughout. So that an early start was possible, they offered an overnight hookup on their premises. We declined this, opting to stay instead at the Caravan Club's Treamble Valley site, only a few miles distant. Our stay at Treamble Valley, together with addition of more storage space, made for a memorable week. Thanks again to all who responded.
dwaviation
Hi - We have moved on somewhat with our little 115 since 2007. We had a leak on the join where the seam over the roof meets the wall... We fixed it ourselves with little effort but in order to do so we had to remove the front cupboard which runs across the full width of the vehicle. When it was out we realised that there was a massive amount of wasted space up front, we ended up fitting a large shelf right across the cockpit area (like a mini luton) and refitted the cupboard door across the front of it, the whole thing was covered in the same material as the cushions so everything matches. We can now carry loungers, pergolas, cases of wine etc very easily plus the weight is all over the front axle. We also upgraded the rear axle to 1750kgs through SVtech and added a Beenybox. Pictures if interested... B-)
