I know there are a few on here with new transit. I Just got a recall notification " front strut to knucle clamping bolt"7C108

apparently there is movement in some shock absorber lower mounts which could possibly result in tyre contacting wheel arch.

So if you have received recall all well and good if not maybe worth checking with local Ford agent :-D

Thanks for the "heads-up" Eddie, I've forwarded a link to Roy Wood Transits, but I expect they're onto it.

Sometimes I think you'd get more sensible comments on motorhomes in a chicken-rearing shed than on this forum.

This has come up before, and it seems to relate to certain Mk 6 Transits as well as to Mk 7s ('New Transit') like JudgeMental's. See the following for specific details of the recall:

You sound disappointed Judge, I'd have thought you'd be glad to have it done so quickly and not be made to wait for workshop space.

D.

No Dave not at all lol. but I did feel duty bound to point out to Ford operative

I doubted that the risk assessment for task included doing it on the roadside.....

Furthermore :-D The failure of Ford management in their "duty of care" towards him was a contravention of The Health and Safety at work act....

come on Clarkson lets be having you *-)
