Will, last time I checked this was a forum, not an advertising media, there is, however the private sales bit although I appreciate that the price you want is above the limit that is placed on this. If forum 'members' start using this to advertise items for sale it will be in danger of being overloaded with adverts. Hope you see my, and no doubt, other's view on this.

I agree, I have never enjoyed reading. (Unlike my wife who is a book worm) I haven,t been back on the MHF forum since being ticked off for going off thread. (just like our interchange here) If people can,t have a natter without big brother ..... But its their site so they can do what they want.

I agree with Clive on both the advertising on this forum and the complications of MHF. Keep it simple and if you want to sell something it would be better to use an advertising site. I don't even know what a victron power pack is anyway.

If you really want to know, it was the construction of a vehicle for a severely disabled individual who has since died. The Victron Plus unit is a popular device to those in the know. It is an inverter, a power contoller and a battery charger all in one. A special feature of them is that if you are operating on mains and are approaching the amperage limit fromthe supply(hook up) the Victron will 'kick in' and give mains boost from the leisure battery. I suggest you go to their website or that of Vangear or Leisurepower etc. The unit was to charge up their wheelchair and operate their various medical equipment.

What a lot of smoke from unnecessary flames! I think that'sd the correct net jargon, anyway, I've never come across this piece of kit and was interested to find out what it was and what it did ... and surely to mention something as specialised between friends chatting does no harm once in a while? MHF means nothing to me ... and besides I've a 5KW gas generator for sale if anyone's interested! I'm not sure if this reinforces Mell B's point or confuses the issue!

Thanks Will, I had (incorrectly) in the back of my mind thought that you were getting rid of it because of a change of mind regarding its suitability for your purpose. As many things are sold by recomendation the fact that you had a brand new one for disposal suggested that perhaps it was not all it was cracked up to be. I had no idea you were trying to sell the device for such a reason until recently. I have a colleague who has a large one of these units planted into his Murvi and extols its virtues. But at that price no one is going to say thay have made a mistake and wasted their money are they! Anyway from my viewpoint it must be better than those totally anti-social generators that pollute the ambience at shows and the like. At Malvern we were blessed by a group that parked close to us and started their super quiet (thats what it was sold as) generator at the first minute allowed by the show rules and ran all day until the last minute allowed or even later if thay had drunk too much. Lots of solar panel real estate, good batteries and inverters if you need them is my preferance. And cooking and fridge by gas. Regards
