michele
It is very very sad that a child lost his life because his father jumped over the balcony with him and his sister in his arms. The bit I dont follow is how can the x wife be on the Trevor Mcdonald interview tonight am I wrong the court case only started today as she is a witness so if she was to say something on the Tv tonight that is different to what she says in court how the hell does that work . Sorry I think they are wrong to air this before the court case .
Guest peter
That's what I thought as well. It must be subjudice surely?.
gaz43
i would have thought as long as she only talks about what has allready been made public there should not be a problem
Clive
The whole episode sounds like a very sad set of circumstances especially considering the family history. Help rather than punishment may be more appropriate. But I agree it should not be aired publically until it has gone through due process. The loophole here I guess is that its not a court in the UK. gaz43
i would have thougth her lawyers would not let her say anything that could be used to discredit her as a witness
BGD
I think the key here is that she was speaking in a differnt country to the one in which the court case is being held, and so English rules of jurisprudence don't apply. Morally however, I think she is a total sh1t to have sold her story to this TV company for personal gain in such circumstances, especially when it was she who was (alledgedly) having the affair that drove him berserk when he discovered all about it whilst they were abroad. howie
Might have had a rough deal off his wife Bruce, and not the first or last to end his life over such a thing, but to take his son with him as well is beyond my comprehension.
CliveH
Yes considering he actually threw his son over the balcony then picked up his daughter and jumped with her, he must have been out of his mind - quite literally I think. Seems to be a family history here - both of his brothers committed suicide I think I read. Certainly nobody "wins" in this tragic case. :-(
BGD
Agreed - no winners. It seems pretty clear that the guy had totally lost his reason/rational thinking at that point. Also seems clear that he's been in a terrible emotional state ever since and still is now. As of course is his wife, and both families etc etc. No winners - a real tragedy.
