Poppy
Went there for a week a couple of weeks ago, sadly not with motorhome. For anyone interested we stayed at Hevis at Lake Balaton.Roads and general infrastructure excellent. We saw a campsite whichlooked modern and well kept. There are camper stops as well, saw one advertized at 10 euros per night. Curency is Florints but euros accepted and machines plentiful and easy to use.People seemed friendly and everything seemed very safe.Apart from Hungarian German is the language to have butsome people do speak some English and restaurants often have a few menus printed in English.Restaurants tend to be quite Germanic, lots of roast potatos and meat but all is good quality and pasta and pizza reasonably easy to obtain.Hungarian wine was a suprise. Very good quality.Prices in reataurants/supermarkets very competative compared to western europe.LOADS of Tescos. Leave it to you to decide whether that is a good thing or not.
