horse444
:-D Go for it, we personally dont go for free camping, but do use municapal and reigistered camp sites with all facilities, on our first trip we just went, no map no plan, we stoped in Lyon, Bueane(lovely)and various other sites, crossed into spain and stopped at Roses and L'Escala, lovely sites with everything for children and adults, in this area sites of beaten track but by sea and lovely for weeks rest with plenty for kids, We cross Dover toCalais and then drift on, nothing to worry about, road wise, as we have 7.5m van and tow car, just remember panic slowly and by the time you get to panic fear it is over. We personally dont see point in buying good money for van and stoping by road side, we like our comforts, Bye the way Disney have closed there overnight park, think nearest park some 15miles.have a great time.We go further afield now some two years later and are off to Italy in May.
