Guest Tracker
No thanks Dean no interest whatsoever as I am far to modest and shy - apart from which I have no problem with my own little dissertations when ever I feel the need - regardless of who started whatever thread! But thanks for the thought. I like kind people!
Hymer C 9.
Dean I have just posted all my gossip on your thread, so will post on it proper tomorrow. I'm off to see Collens Real Women now, and stop playing on my new lap top. Carol. :D
ohgrandma
Hi Carol, welcome back, A question again for you, As you know I am quite new to computers, so Please, what is your fancy 3 modern thing as you put it ? on another thread. I was wondering if it is a new gadget that would enable me to take the computer on holiday? would be ideal if the weather wasn,t too good , also to keep in touch with family. So you have a new lap top? good for you . enjoy, Thanks Ria .
Hymer C 9.
Hi Ria, yes its a little thing you plug into your lap-top then as long as there is a phone signal, it picks up broadband for the lap top, the one we got is 3 from the car phone warehouse its £15 month, or you can have one at £10 month but it is not as many gigs (I thought they were things Bruce played at) but apparently broadband has them as well. It does work as I'm on line now with it just plugged in, its a bit slower than BT but for on the move should be ok. T Mobile, Vodaphone do them as well but they were a bit more expensive and needed a longer contract than the 12 month one we have. Carol.

Hymer C 9.
Hi Ria, just read your reply, and it could be if they are advertising the Statics to take your lap top could be that they have wfi connection (or hot spots in the vans) if that is so you would not need one of these dongles to get on the web as long as your lap top is wfi enabled, hope this makes sence. Carol. :-)
ohgrandma
Many thanks again Carol, What a coincidence I have been reading about The park on here about an hour ago, and it seems as though they do have wi fi connection, so I wouldn,t need your "gadget", But they are a good thing. and thanks again for all the info, you are a star. I also won a Digital Camera, nothing too elaborate but will have to try that out shortly, with the help of my son, I really cant remember the last time, I won anything so was very pleased, Regards Ria. ohgrandma
Pleased to hear you have escaped the worst of the weather, Carol, There are a lot of trees here where I live and apparently one is down across the road some where here. But, I for one will not be going out to look for a fallen tree. I am staying put, the wind is very strong. Just hoping no one has been hurt.My daughter e mailed me and there are thunderstorms there at the moment in Weymouth, yes, I wonder how the skaters can remember all the different moves. I love some of the music that,s played. no doubt you will miss the dogs when your daughter gets back and takes over. Did you enjoy your Lunch it sounded yummy, Forgot to say I live Hampshire / Wilts border. Not too far from Stonehenge, Ria.
Hymer C 9.
Ria, instead of this thread how about starting one "Glam Grans Natter" then when us older ladys just want to have a bit of banter we can, and if any one else pops in to have a look at what we are up to, they have been warned by the title, what do you think. Carol/ :D
ohgrandma
Hi Carol, Yes I am game for that, Do you not think though that it would encourage the elderly gentlemen more, They can be very difficult to understand, Also I get very shy sometimes, do you think it would be best if we didn,t put any photo,s on either, as we dont want any unwelcome visitors, do we ? Ria. (lol)
