JohnP Posted March 12, 2008 Share Posted March 12, 2008 I think that you will find that the seat belts have to be fitted to a metal structure which in turn is bolted to the chassis of the vehicle. This would be the work for a specialist with the necessary expertise and would involve considerable work and expense because it is a retro fit. No doubt the furniture (seats) would have to be chopped about for the metal frames to be fitted. From your post it would appear that you have not yet purchased a van so my suggestion is that you look for a motorhome where the installation of L and D belts has already been done by the manufacturer. I am not sure whether the origional belts as fitted by the vehicle converter have to undergo crash testing , no doubt Clive or Dave will have more knowledge.
