welcome to the forum.

It;s a pain when pep's post more or less identical questions- impaient for an answer? you will get answers eventually but need to be patient :-D

it will be expensive running a genny to feed I presume a roof a/c?

you are going to have to carry a fair bit of fuel (and get a genny powerful enough) 3000kw should be enough you maybe get away with 2000kw but you need to check power consumption of your unit....

alternatively, get a gas conversion kit for genny, install refillable gas bottles. and do it that way. or have a diesel genny fitted to van that runs of fuel tank.

I have a 12v/230v WAECO roof air which is "soft start" so will run on a site with 6 amp supply. whilst driving it runs off a 2000watt 12v inverter ( strictly only with engine running) last summer in Italy we did not find it necessary to run much at nigh but used it mainly during the heat of the day......

probably cheaper to purchase in France as well.
