Haha - you've rumbled our Cunning Plan Tony!!

Actually, as I'm simply rolling in money over here and just can't spend it on the Sparkle fast enough, we're just considering a move to a bigger, detached villa-type place with a fair bit of land etc, elsewhere in the same wonderful locality....

Gotta be able to park the Old Dog van, and cars, and motorcycles outside/beside the huge villa in their own purpose-built garages dontchaknow!!

Agree - it's unlikely that it will go to a Brit, as the overwhelming majority of people living in Spain/buying on the Costas in Spain are Spanish.

....plus a peppering from other Northern European countries, the majority of whom have the euro in their home country and so for whom there's no exchange rate issue to consider.

However, we'll sell our current house to anyone!!

Our other house here is already just being sold (to a Brit couple incidentally, but who have lived in Spain for many years and thus I guess have all their finances in euros), and thus we're planning to pool the two equity pots and buy a big place with land, locally.

So "Roll Up Roll Up, buy our idylllic Spanish village cottage!!"

Sorry to hear it Dean - moving money back and forth between GBP's and Euros is always a bit of a gamble.

I'm not sure that it's the Euro dropping in value though....compared to the USD it's at a record high.

Time for the Sparkle to buy more stuff on ebay from the USA!!!

Syd's supposed to be over here at the moment on an unofficial breakout from the MMM Towers Home for the Dazed and Confused.......but so far he's not made himself known to the Sparkle or I, and hasn't appeared (so far as we know) at any of my gigs this week.

Syd - where are you my man?

We're expecting you, bearing mint choc Baileys, and the blissful smile of one who is experiencing 20 degrees celsius and clear blue skies in mid-March....and Spanish Cava (fizzy wine)
