LordThornber
OK folks this is NOT an advert for Orange just a bit of info for those it may be relevant to. If there is anyone out there receiving Orange broadband (2.2 meg), from their mobile bundle, (as we do), this may be of interest. If like us you only retain your BT landline for the broadband connection, Orange are offering their 8 meg broadband and free calls etc etc for £15 per month and you don't pay BT line rental. There is no paperwork, it took 2 mins on the phone yesterday. Almost exactly the same as BT's £45 a quarter for line rental. This is for an 18 month contract. Please I'm not saying for 1 second their arn't better deals blah blah, this is just for those tied up with Orange mobile/broadband deals and paying BT for practically s*d all. J9withdogs
Virgin do a similar scheme. I came unstuck when I tried to do it, forgetting my phone rental is with the Post Office, not BT. The b**ggers took £350 out of my bank account in cancellation fees, before admitting it hadn't been possible in the first place. Ho hum.
LordThornber
It's a no brainer for us, I wish I'd have spotted the offer earlier but what the heck. For the same price we get 4 x faster broadband, free calls (which I don't need), and free international calls too. As Andrea's Dad lives in the USA it's a win win win. Orange 1 BT 0 For now....
