peza
I am looking to travel down the Dalmatian coast to visit Dubrovnik and from there heading on into Greece - Thessalonika. I did this many years ago before all the trouble and went via Pristina and Skopje. This would obviously mean driving thru Kosovo - would be grateful for any information on travel through this region. Guest JudgeMental
Hi John and welcome to the forum! Did this route myself many years ago, God what a trip, you have started the memory's flooding back :-D we carried on down to Athens from Thessaloníki and over to Crete. I would love to do something like this again and will in the future time permitting...... Don Madge is probably our most Knowledgeable member on traveling East if he is around I am sure he will offer to help, good luck!
Don Madge
John, We did the trip in reverse in 1969 when we drove home from Cyprus. I would suggest you stick to the coast and go through Montenegro and Albania. We would have been doing the same trip now if we had not had to cancel our winter trip to Turkey for family problems. Travel Info on Albania can be found at. http://www.magbaztravels.com/content/view/539/144/ Gov Info on Kosovo at http://tinyurl.com/5ukpjt Regards Don
