davenewellhome
Hi Den, does your brother need a CORGI certificate or not? Strangely enough CORGI registration for motorcaravan LPG work is only required if the vehicle is to be rented out, for private owner use no CORGI registration is required for the installation person. Is the certificate required for insurance purposes? D.
Den
hi ... yes his insurance has requested a cert' and gave him 16 days. he did ring several eng's and only one from kidderminster. whom on 3 occasions did'nt turn up, so you can imagine his now slightly frustrated. davenewellhome
But did they ask for a CORGI cert? If the vehicle is for private use then this is not necessary under the gas regs. The problem is that most CORGI reg'd guys (or gals) are only covered for domestic natural gas installations. Only a (relatively) small number are registered for all the various aspects of LPG installations, usually guys (or gals) who work in rural areas where natural gas isn't available. D. Mel B
Try contacting normal gas services companies, some of them have people who can work on LPG and normal gas appliances, it doesn't have to be a motorhome/caravan person specifically, so long as they are certified to work on LPG appliances that should be sufficient.
