A couple of years ago I got a 300 PSI compressor " for Trucks and SUVs" from International Tool Co ( based I believe, in Northampton), and I've been quite happy with it.

See: www.international-tool.co.uk

It was recommended at that time in one of the motorhome mags.

Hi, I have also been looking, as my tyres need 65psi.

The one Olly suggested is (according to the web site) only good for 35psi.

I have heard of a Michelin one, which a guy in MMM recommened.

He says that although Michelin wont confrim it, its ok for 65psi.

If anyone has any ideas/experience I would also be interested.

The way I read the web site that Olly suggested was:

Specification:-

Max. pressure

17bar (275psi)

Seemed ideal to me; I must start saving up, I could do with one!

Might also be worth looking at Argos! They have a range of air compressors on offer from £9.99! I've just bought the RAC badged one for £24.99 that is rated at 100PSI and had no difficulty in inflating my 215/75 16R tyres from 60 psi to the required 75.

Don't know how you can get so much bang for your buck out of these little light weight compressors - some forecourt compressors won't pump my tyres up to 75 psi.

Halfords do a "michlin" model was £40 when i got it originally - then went down to £20.

It works well enough , I even used it with my large 4x4 tyres and it worked fine.
