Hi, I seem to recall a posting from someone who had purchased what they thought was a brand new motorhome only to find out later it was ex demo and a lot older than described. I cannot use the search facility. Anyone recall it??

If this has happened to you, I would think the dealer involved needs a stern letter from a solicitor to help galvanise his thought processes *-)

Effectively you have been sold goods "not as described" so dealer in breach of the "sales of goods act".

Contact local trading standards for a start.

It's worth bearing in mind that most motorhome's base vehicles are anywhere between six and eighteen months old by the time they are first registered. This is simply because of the lead times of the converters. This is borne out by the fact that only now are we seeing a large number of new motorhomes on the "new" Fiat/Peugeot/Citroen X 2/50 chassis despite it being available for about eighteen months.

Hi Mel,

Thank you much. I could not find it, every time I try and use the search function I get an error report.

This information is for a friend of mine who is trying to build up his case.

Thanks again
