Randonneur
Just as a matter of interest, does anyone know how these are updated. We have two sets of friends that have different vehicles with different built-in Satnavs and they don't know how its done. (One of them is very posh - Range Rover Sport!!!) Way2Go
You buy another DVD which contains the map and POIs and is installed in the DVD drive in the vehicle. In the case of the Honda SatNav this was approx £200 - £250.When you consider how quickly the maps go out of date that's a pretty big investment AND you can't customise it.W2G
Terrytraveller
Hi Martin and Sylvia, I understand these can be updated/upgraded via the CD player, you should have a distribution CD for reloading the software should the existing program go walkabouts. Randonneur
Thanks for your replies Guys, I was being nosey that's why I asked. We were passengers in the Range Rover recently and I asked the question and they didn't know either. I don't think they realise how expensive its going to be. Serves them right for having a "posh car" and we must keep it in mind if or when we change vehicles.
