Housing Crisis

According to the BBC it affects 8.3 million https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-49787913

But I think it affects everyone. Although I own my house I am paying higher taxes to cover higher housing benefits for those who don't. Higher rents increase business costs too - and leave their customers with less disposable income, so local shops are closing.

Is there anyone the Housing Crisis doesn't affect?

No need for anyone to have to share a house with me.

Just take planning decisions away from selfish local NIMBYS so we can build enough homes :-D

More s**te from you.

Of the money made available for Social Housing, over 80% of it is spent in the South East of England. I expect the SE of E actually means Greater London.

The cost of building one house in the SE would build at least 3 around here. 8-)

Mad Hatter got it back to front as usual :D

I'm far nearer a Free Enterprise Capitalist than a Socialist. If we had REAL free enterprise in housing prices would come down and solve the problem. Restricting supply with planning constraints, whilst stoking up demand with taxpayer subsidies like so called 'Help to Buy'.

The whole rotten system a recipe for corruption - who decides who gets planning permission or a subsidised social house *-)

What we have now is Socialismfor the Rich >:-)

What we need is REAL Free Enterprise in the housing market

Government intervention in the housing market is the problem, not the solution.
