Bulletguy
Blimey.....Rudd finally wakes up. Steady on Amber....you're sounding like a socialist. 8-) Universal credit to blame for soaring food bank use, government admits after years of denial Rudd said, “It is absolutely clear that there were challenges with the initial rollout of universal credit –and the main issue that led to an increase in food bank use could have been the fact that people had difficulty accessing their money early enough.” Frank Field MP said, “At last, we have a secretary of state who is willing to have a much more open debate on the link that exists between universal credit and the need for food banks,” Mr Field said. “Most importantly for claimants, this debate needs to result in action which eliminates the lengthy wait for benefits to be paid.” https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/universal-credit-food-bank-amber-rudd-welfare-department-work-pensions-dwp-a8773931.html

Do they eck I can feel that there is so much love in you Anthony, you cannot keep repressing your feelings for your fellow man of all creeds, colour or religion any longer. Go and ask one of the needy for a hug, you'll feel better for it. PS good to see you're taking more time over your spelling, although you do still need to address your grammar. HarveyHeaven
The Un rapporteur pointed out in his 2018 Report on Poverty in Britain....... 1.5 million people in the UK are destiture...(that means "without the basic ncessities of ife" or "penniless")and 14 million are living in poverty. Those who want to deny the impact Universal credit has had on the UK are as evil as the Tory Party they support. Victorian diseases of poverty such as Beri beri and rickets have returned to the UK. Disaster Capitalists such as Rees-Mogg (his father wrote a book on it)are making a huge 'killing'...Brexit will afford them their biggest windfall EVER indeed it has already.....where small groups make millions sucking up the wealth, which fragments the population, resulting in decaying infrastructure, declining incomes, rising unemployment or precarious work....this is the UK today!! Of course, it is obvious to those who want to see it but to those cowards who don't they will pretend it does not exist...there will always be evil people who do evil to others, by ommission or commission, but remember 'Evil can prevail only if good people do nothing' so no matter what they say or write we must continue to write and speak as we find and challenge the evil so prevalent everywhere in the UK today.
